Each plan gives you a pool of monitors (e.g. 50 on Pro). You can use these for any mix of monitor types - HTTP, Heartbeat, Domain, DNS, SSL, or Keyword. Page Speed monitors are counted separately.
You'll see a friendly message asking you to upgrade. Your existing monitors continue working - you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or remove some.
We send HTTP requests to your website at regular intervals from multiple global regions. If we get an error response or timeout, we mark it as down and send you an alert immediately.

Notifications are sent within seconds of detecting downtime. Detection speed depends on your check interval - 30 seconds on Business/Enterprise, 1 minute on Pro, 5 minutes on Free.
